Healthy Home Made Baby Formula

Hey, just thought I'd share the recipe we have been feeding our 6 month old baby boy Kieran. He loves it! Cheaper and healthier than off the shelf formula.

4 cups organic goat milk (or raw if you can find it)
*can be diluted with distilled water 50/50 when the baby is younger (between 1-3 months)
2 teaspoons organic virgin coconut oil (contains lauric acid, and medium chain fatty acid also found in human breast milk)
1 teaspoon organic sunflower oil
1 teaspoon extra virgin organic olive oil
1/2 - 1 teaspoon cod liver oil (depending on stool consistency)
2 teaspoons nutritional yeast (can be found in health food stores. Loaded with vitamins and minerals)
2 teaspoons organic agave nectar (as a sweetener)
1-2 teaspoons organic blackstrap molasses
1/2 teaspoon high quality infant probiotic
1/4 cup goat whey (strained from goat yogurt using cheescloth)

Blend all ingredients on low in a blender

This is a great formula. We've made it so many times it takes like 5 minutes to put together.

Try it, experiment adding other ingredients if you like. We add more probiotic to some bottles, and we also add buffered Vitamin C powder (1/8 teaspoon) to some bottles.

Make sure to warm up the bottles using hot water in a container, don't microwave or you will loose some of the nutrition.

Cheers, Nathan
